I’m Jo, and I’m training to be a wild old woman.
Lately, all the things I’ve dabbled in and set aside over the years are starting to look less like a scattered life and more like a curriculum. I may have been learning how to be me, but in 20 years time.
I have an intuitive sense that this is my time (postmeno, post expectations) to channel Nature in whatever way She wants to come through.
Sister Artemisia is an exploration, with no map, of what happens when I have time and space to let my wild nature rise. That doesn’t mean — at least for me — naked dancing under a full moon with a fox pelt on my head; it simply means opening that channel, and it turns out I’ve been studying for that without fully knowing why. Until now.
I love both the written and spoken word, so you’ll find them here, in whatever shape a morning’s thoughts happen to take. I’m setting up here, with a notebook, a laptop, a microphone, and an imaginary campfire. You’re always welcome.
